My It Lyst

This is actually so much harder than it sounds! There are so many amazing, heart-stopping, breathe-taking pieces on the Lyst that to just choose 5 was a little bit of torture! I wanted to build a dream outfit but in the end I couldn't just choose one to build from and couldn't bare ignoring the other astonishing pieces! So in the end I went with my heart and choose my individual favourite items.

L.O.V.E.

This bold L.O.V.E. pencil skirt is from Topshop and I had quite a lot of fun with this look! It is incredibly comfortable and it is so far from severe as pencil skirts come. A++ from me!

My sheer blouse is from River Island, Skirt from Topshop, Jacket from Asos, side bag from Miss Selfridge, Bracelet
from Marc by Marc Jacobs and watch by Chanel.

Metallic Monochrome

I'm wearing: Top & Leggings from Forever 21, Jeffrey Campbell's 'Shadow' Wedges, Vintage box purse,
Alexander McQueen Skull & a Chloe Rose-Gold bangle.

Turns out this outfit is too ambitious for the snowy weather. I thought my toes were going to fall off from how freezing green my feet went! Do we like the staircase?

Anyway, this is my Look 2 with these silver leggings from Forever 21 - the same pair from this post back in February, coincidentally also in Jeffrey Campbell's! The sheer top here is also from Forever 21, and it is oh-so versatile. Its collar really is double layered in its black then white, which is my favourite thing about it. This outfit also makes Look 2 for the top; I wore it with a toothhound skirt but never put it on here, only on Chicisimo but you can still see it on the widget on the right! (To reinstate for my new members, each item I receive to style&wear trial requires 2 Looks/Occasions for a pass!)

love ticking things off the list!

P.S. I can't believe there are officially 99 people out there (you guys!!) who like what I do enough to follow me! To celebrate the 100th I will be sure to host a really good giveaway!! Love you guys lots! Have a fab Sunday! xxx

Drift Away with Dove Spa

I was sent to the Dove Spa at Lakeside Shopping Mall, out in Thurrock, Essex to review their current "Double the Pampering" promotion on their existing "Drift Away" experience. Drift Away is a package of a 35 minutes back massage with a 25 minute mini facial and a choice of scalp, hand, or foot massage whilst the face mask works its magic. With "Double the Pampering", customers get two of the treatment for £75 rather than the original £52 each with a complimentary Skin Diagnostic session each. I took my best friend as a treat to celebrate her results of flying colours at the Aviation Academy! Couldn't be more proud of her!

The Waiting Room

We were brought into the waiting area to fill in some standard forms about our medical history. We were then individually taken to the Skin Diagnostics machine to check out our levels of skin damage, hydration, oil balance, and elasticity on our face. The therapist explains every step, the results, what SPF to wear and how to improve any of these levels if necessary. Sadly my elasticity was the weakest but unfortunately can't remember what she suggested...I was told I will get a print out of this report at the end so I left it at that.

The Therapy Room

The walls between the therapy rooms were sliding doors which is amazing. We each had enough space and privacy but can still talk to each other and are truly sharing the experience. The rooms boasts a large wardrobe area with a few lovely touches like a porcelain dish for your jewellery.

The back massage is followed with a very nice back scrub and an incredible hot sponge down. We couldn't believe how soft and smooth our backs felt when we were putting our clothes back on! When we returned to the waiting room we each had a cup of tea and this lovely hot wheat sack waiting for both of us. It was perfect.

It was hard to leave you behind!

When we were ready, we went back out to the reception and she was asked if we would like to make any purchases or try any samples of any products we tried during our treatments. With that though I forgot to ask for my skin diagnostics report. My friend had hers waiting for her on her seat back in the waiting room and I was meaning to enquire about mine - but got too distracted by all the other lovely things! We were supposed to have had a choice between a scalp, hand, or foot massage but both of us received a scalp massage without being asked, which is a shame. Scalp massage would have been my last choice...

Lastly, I do apologize that the pictures aren't great. I can't afford to break my cover so I can only sneak in quick snaps with my phone!

I Made This!!

Earlier this month was The Boyfriend's birthday, and I baked this for him! I still can't really believe I did make this all on my own as the kitchen really isn't my turf of the flat. Yes am still super proud!

The "I Can't Believe You Made It" Cake.

Birthday boy caught off guard!

Make a Wish!
It is surprisingly easy to make and if anyone is interested - I am more than happy to post a step by step with pictures! Yes I kept a record! Just gimme a shout! xx

Rihanna for River Island

Have you checked the collection out yet? It was officially released at 1am today! Riri herself was on Oxford Street last night as a premier to her work and I must say that dress on her is hot! I even want those cut out boots she was holding (on right)!

Rhianna at River Island's Oxford Street Flagship Store.

I have always been a fan of River Island, whose image is very ghetto chic with their blingy attitude and a tint of subtle englishness of edge. So when it was announced that Rihanna was doing a line for them, it only made sense! I don't think there is a more fitting brand than Riri for RI! She has always said how she loves British fashion since her reality TV show "Styled to Rock", which is great! It sure is time someone notice British Fashion once in a while! "Britain has the most fashionable kids in the world!" she exclaimed last night. Truth be told, I have never been a fan of Rihanna and frankly can't stand her music...but I kinda like her fashion ambassador side. I think she's brushed up well recently as well with her hair extensions and looking a lot well, cleaner. New image for the fashion world me thinks! Now a few of my fav pieces besides the dress she is already wearing!

Black & White Striped Bra Top £30

Thigh Split Sweat Skirt £40

Thigh Split Cami Maxi Dress £45

Cut out boots £95

I've just ordered them online! Have you?? xx

White Jeans Americana

The item of trial are these white leather trousers...yes another leather item I'm afraid. I have never owned or worn (not even tried on) a pair of plain bright white trousers but have always quietly admired people who pull them off so effortlessly yet so well.

My denim shirt is from Gap, Jumper from Topshop, wearing River Island trousers and a super old pair of Office leather boots.

For a pear shape figure like mine, skinny white trousers are probably just the worst possible nightmare. I would love to wear it with a sharp coloured blouse tucked in (exposing my hips with courage) and adorn the look with gold. Instead, I wore it with a big slouchy Christmas Jumper that I just can't stop wearing simply because it is that cosy! Stay tuned for look 2...!

I have just discovered the LYST and my god is it addictive?! My entire saturday night has gone into hyper-clicking "Add to Lyst" with almost the equal guilt-free satisfaction of a DREAM shopping spree!  Come check out my Lyst (on right) and follow me if you're a member so I can find you! Honestly - HUGELY additive!
